20th Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Traditions - Celebrating Family & Community:
Celebrate the season! 19th Annual holiday program of outdoor entertainment with refreshments following at the San Carlos Adult Community Center and a visit from Santa. Bring a non-perishable food donation for the Mayor's Food Drive and/or an unwrapped toy for the Youth Advisory Council's Toy Drive. For more information, call 802-4382.

Santa Arrives by Helicopter at Hiller Aviation Museum: Doors will open at 9:30 am. Hear the San Carlos Community Band and watch Santa arrive by helicopter! Refreshments provided compliments of Trader Joe's. Santa will greet children with candy canes and coloring books and then move by fire truck (around noon) to his Holiday Home in Downtown San Carlos at the Bank of America Parking Lot in the 700 block of Laurel Street. At Hiller, for a donation, Girl Scouts will be taking Polaroid photos of the children with Santa. Put on by the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce and held rain or shine. 14th Annual Kiwanis Toy Drive: The San Carlos Kiwanis Club  will be holding their 14th Annual Toy Drive. Scheduled  rain or shine in Laurel Street Park, Club members, assisted by the 8th Grade Builders Club from Central School, will be serving hot cider, apple juice and home-baked cookies to everyone. There is an even greater need for new, unwrapped toys this year, especially for teens.  Suggestions are books, sports equipment, Blockbuster Video cards, Best Buy gift certificates and movie theater tickets. Items are distributed throughout San Mateo County by the SM County Children's Fund.   Down Town

Celebrate Noon Year's Eve at the Hiller Aviation Museum:
Come to the Hiller on Monday, December 31 from 10 am to 1 pm for entertainment and activities for all ages! You'll find games, a climbing wall, jump house, face painter, DeeJay, puppet show, a magician, a balloon drop and pizza. Sponsored by Bay Area Parent Magazine.
